Colin Weymouth has agreed to provide running water for the toilet at Lower Penns.
This will be used for handwashing. The committee discussed a simpler solution, using a bucket, but decided a sink would be more hygienic and easier for children to use. All the sites will be provided with consumables for their toilets. The toilets will also be raised with the allotment council in Nottingham to ensure they are fully covered by insurance. The allotment society has been given a 10ft by 8ft metal shed which will be used to house all the group's assets.
The total cost of the shed, including building a new base, was £180. It will be used to securely house equipment such as a new lawnmower and the strimmer. All committee members will have a key to access the shed, so the equipment can easily be used by all members of the society. The society is now looking for a lawnmower. The asset register is to be updated to fully reflect everything owned by the society, and when equipment is borrowed a clear not will be made. |
