Plotholders on other sites have raised concerns about the amount of water being used on Lower Penns Road.
The society has been asked to monitor how much water is being used on the site by taking readings from the on-site meter.
Recent water bills for the site will also be inspected.
Site reps have been giviong water conservation advice to plotholders in a bid to reduce the amount of water uised on the very explosed site.
This includes not watering during the middle of a hot day, when water will run off the surface and not reach plant roots.
The committee is investigating whether water usage at the site outweighs the amount of rent plotholders at Lower Penns are paying.
