For several months the society has been divinding plots in half as they become available and offering the new plots to two instead of one applicant.
This has helped reduce the waiting list and is becomign common practice by allotment societys and master landlords - including Torbay Council.
But some new plotholders have stated that the half-size plot is not big enough for their requirements.
A possible proposal to rescind the half-plot move was briefly discussed at the society's meeting in August.
The committee agreed that some plotholders may find a half-size plot is not enough, but they also said that the waiting list remains substantial.
The committee decided to undertake a full review of the waiting list to determine exactly how many people are waiting, and how long they are waiting.
The committee is also investigating ways of managing its database more effectively to keep a closer tarck of the state of plots and letters sent to plot-holders - which could in tunr increase the speed at which unused plots are brought back into use by new plotholders.
