The current constitution of the allotment society states that the effect of any decision made at the Annual General Meeting cannot be be put into place until 12 months later - at the next AGM.
At the September meeting of the society, the last meeting before the AGM, this was discussed and it was decided that any decision made at an AGM would now see action in the following April - when new contracts are circulated.
Decisions taken at the AGM generally include new levels of rent and new terms of the contracts.
